I ♥ my LBD

The LBD....Little Black Dress.... has been the ultimate essential in every girl's wardrobe since the 1920's! Before the 1920's black dresses were worn only at times of mourning...it all changed in 1926 when Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel published a short black dress in American Vogue. This picture changed fashion forever!

40 years later in 1961 Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's epitomised what Chanel had visioned for an LBD...short, simple cut and accessorised with pearls.

Over the years the LBD has been worn with everything from sandals to combat boots and made from everything from leather to lace. It's been worn by the rich, the poor, royalty and even civilian women entering the workforce in World War 2!

However you wear yours, whatever your budget just make sure you have one! I've searched high and low for the best LBD's around, at all prices!
