ONE FOR THE BOYS...

This post is dedicated to all my male friends who religiously read my blog and have requested a post for them - (you'd think all the hot girls on every other post would keep them happy?!)

So what does everyman need, but most don't have? (stick to clothing here please!)

Winter coats. Although most men like to pretend they don't need one and they can withstand the cold, wind and torrential rain, women still try to get their boyfriends, brothers and dads wrapped up for Winter. Now guys, you think we do it because we care... well truth is we don't. We do it for two reasons only:

1- We dont want you to get ill - 'cos we're the ones who have to deal with your 'man flu'
2- We just want to steal your coat when we get cold!

I do admit in the past Men haven't had the selection that we Women do; especially in jackets and coats. Well this year it's completely different, the autumn/winter 2010 catwalks were filled with jackets for Men - some even nicer than Women's ones!

Here are some of my fave's...

Calvin Klein

Hermes

Louis Vuitton

Paul Smith

Salvatorre Ferragamo

If Louis Vuitton isn't quite in your budget, don't worry I wont let you freeze, i've found the best Men's jackets on the High Steet now...

So Guys there you have it, no excuses for you (or your girlfriend) to be cold this winter :) xxx

Not Summer, Not Winter...

Autumn. The months of September, October and November... The sun is still shining (when its not peeing it down), you still have nice tanned legs and your summer wardrobe is pleading to be given one last chance BUT its bloody cold!

So you want to get your legs out?

In my experience, legs are the least likely to get cold especially if your warm everywhere else. The solution is wear your mini or your dress with a big chunky cardi or jumper!

Look at these two lovely ladies...

So ladies, if you still want to give your legs an airing before they go into hibernation put one of these luxe knitwear pieces on top of your mini...

★ Pakistan Flood Disaster Charity Gala ★

Last Wednesday, 22nd September, hosted one of the biggest nights in charity and entertainment as £15,000 was raised for one of the most devastating disasters to shock the world in a very long time.

The Pakistan Flood Disaster Charity Gala was hosted by Voodoo Entertainment and supported by some of the biggest names in Media and Entertainment today including Krystal, Asiana and B4U. The event was a perfect mix of fashion, music and of course raising funds for a great cause.

The night kicked off with an outstanding performance by Britain’s Got Talent stars the Shaolin Dance Group. Hosted by the beautiful Gulzaeb Beg Ali and her charming other half Murtz, the crowd were really in for a treat. The raffle draw and auction was a huge success, with prizes such as a pair of boxing gloves signed by boxer Amir Khan and tickets to the BBC 1xtra live concert everyone was a winner!

The fashion show by the stunning Caramel models, strutting their stuff in gorgeous Goddiva gowns was next, followed by a fabulous Celebrity Show with clothing by Ziggi Studios and Khubsoorat Collection.

The performances by H Dhami, Raghav, Bonafide and TQ, Shizzo and Bashy (just to name a few) got the crowd excited and ready for the after-party where DJ Rugrat did what he does best on the decks!

The night was a phenomenal success, many thanks to everyone involved!

If you haven't donated yet, or can spare some more change it's not too late! Remember: every penny counts, just go to www.dec.org.uk today!

London Fashion Weekend - Opening Night

70% off designer fashion and accessories, a live catwalk show AND a free goody bag... it could only be London Fashion Weekend.

The 4 day event opened last night at Somerset House (the same location as LFW!) and I was there!

The designer outlet was a shopaholics dream come true; my girls went CRAZY! Brands such as juicy couture, D & G, Almost Famous and Alex Manroe had amazing discounts.

So what did we buy? Well here's a sneak peak into our shopping bags...

A black D & G cocktail dress worth £3000

A pair of Vintage Christain Dior Sunglasses worth £200

A pair of Juicy Couture military boots worth £200

A pair of Juicy Couture bottoms worth £100

As well as an array of vintage tops, cardi's and bottoms...we were very happy (and tired) bunnies by the end of the night!

After all that shopping we were then treated to a fabulous catwalk show presented by the beautiful and talented Zara Martin.

★London Fashion Week lift off party @ Studio Valbonne ★

Super Stardom @ Studio Valbonne hosted the LFW lift off party last Friday night! With a live Fashion show headlined by Henley's and a performance by Lauren Loretto it was the perfect start to LFW and the weekend!

The atmosphere was crazy. The stylish cream of the crop gathered in this intimate venue and partied till the sun was rising! With DJ Suave on the decks the music was the best I've heard on a night out for a long, long time!

The night kicked off with a fashion show presented by Artcha James, who brought his usual humour and swagger to the night. With designers such as AQL, Valasarie, Trikki and Henley's showcasing their collections, the crowd went wild!

All the designers were Fabulous but here are my fave's from the night...

Valasarie designer Saadia Sultan exhibited her Romantic Escapism collection. The models wore tailored jackets with some of the most beautiful intricate designs I have seen; mimicking fantasy and mythical realms. Saadia Sultan has an eye for detail and an unbelievable imagination!

Next up was Trikki. The London- based brand was created by uber-talented LCF graduate Rikki Shah. His menswear range promises quality and comfort with a unique design like no other! If the bright colours and quirky slogans aren't enough Trikki is already a favourite amongst the stars; with fans such as DJ Rugrat, Griminal and DJ Ironik this brand is one to watch!

Founder of TRIKKI, Rikki Shah (see where the name comes from) was lovely enough to spare me 5 minutes to ask him a few questions...

What is the inspiration behind trikki?

Trikki’s current collection is inspired by the relentless hunt for success. The garments are a colourful take on the gritty determination required to succeed in any industry. Trikki represents people who work so hard that they ‘make it look so easy’!

Where do u see trikki in 5 years?

At the pace we are gaining recognition for our quality of design and individuality where we will be in 5 years time is almost impossible to imagine. We have a plan though, and are determined to make sure that there will be no-one who hasn’t heard of trikki within 5 years.

Are u planning on doing more for ladies?

We have had a surprisingly large amount of interest from ladies so a ladies collection, whilst probably some time away, is definitely in the back of our minds.

Who are your favourite designers?

I’d have to give just one mention, and that would be to the great Gianni Versace. I bought a book about him called ‘Gianni Versace: Fashion’s Last Emperor’ when I was about 12 years old and it almost single-handily inspired me to pursue fashion design as a career.

Top marks for TOPSHOP Unique

Topshop's Unique collection was the first ever high street range to showcase on the catwalk at London Fashion Week waaaaaay back in 2005! 10 seasons later the collection is one of the most highly anticipated of the entire show!

For spring/summer 2011 Topshop's premium line in following the footsteps of Marc Jacobs with a strong 70's disco theme running through the collection with sequins, flares and all in ones! The rest of the collection resembles A Midsummer Nights dream, with floaty sheer fabrics and cape sleeves. Stylist Paul Hanlon who created the hair, describes the look as Saturday night disco hair; crimping, streaking and twisting!

Some of my favourite pieces from the collection...

The A-list love our favourite high street brand too! Check out who was on the front row....

Krazy about Kim

You gotta love her; that ass, those lips, enough to drive any man...or woman...wild! This week, one of FHM's sexiest women was in LONDON town!

Kim launched her new clothing range K-Dash with QVC at Fashions Night Out in NYC, and was at a number of New York Fashion Week events. She then flew over to us Brits at the weekend for a few days of madness!

Kim arrives at Heathrow airport in style!

Wearing a Victoria Beckham dress at Aqua on Argyll street for dinner wither her Momma...talk about bad timing; can you believe I was across the road at Movida just half an hour after!

Ralph is the man!

Ralph Lauren. The name symbolises power, wealth and endless talent. With over 4 decades of fashion design under his (Polo Ralph Lauren) belt this man wowed once again on the closing night of New York Fashion week.
With profits of £5 billion last year there is no chance of slowing this man down. Season after season he continues to set the standards for both men's and women's fashion.

The collection resembled the costume of the wild west with a modern edge using silvers, golds and neutrals. Prepare to be amazed and check out some pictures from his show...
